Born 4 September 1945 – Died 23 October 2023

As a huge employer of Backstage and Front of House Theatre staff, TTG pays our respects to a Giant of the British Theatre Industry. And our heartfelt condolences goes to Jenny Seagrove, his family, friends and colleagues, at this very sad time.

“Having met Bill at an RSC party in 1996, he employed me as Theatre Manager at The Theatre Royal Windsor from 1997-2000, which was a very special time of my life. The theatre had been in private ownership for some time, and closed for 2 years, before Bill took a calculated risk on re-opening the venue. With his vision, it soon became a great success and I absolutely loved my job and the wonderful team we put together. Bill will be greatly missed by the entire theatre industry – but, on a personal level, I will always be grateful for the potential he saw in me.” Thank You & RIP x
