Claire Carrie : TTG Chair
“TTG had a busy and positive year in 2025, helping over 226 beneficiaries with a range of support services, including ; financial grants, counselling, welfare advice and mid-career training.
At the ABTT Theatre Show in June’25, TTG launched our new training initiative “The Caldicot Stage Management Training Bursary”. This is generously funded by Jonathan Caldicot (a retired Stage Manager), successfully developed in partnership with The Stage Management Association and is designed to help people access specialist training, when cost might be a prohibitive factor.
We also continued with our “An Audience With” fundraising series in November’25, with the charming Musical Theatre Actor Charlie Stemp, who was interviewed by Theatre Director, Rachel Kavanaugh. The audience enjoyed a delightful afternoon at Leicester Square Theatre, full of special anecdotes, joy and laughter. I would like to invite you all to make a ‘diary date’ in your calendars for our next show, scheduled for Sunday 29th March 2026.
As you are aware, this is a time when the theatre industry is reporting huge job losses, due to many organisations facing daunting financial pressures. The impact on the creative workforce can be overwhelming, and we are finding the charitable work that TTG offers is more vital than ever.
So, may I take this opportunity to thank you all for your support and, if you are able, please consider becoming a TTG Friend, or making a personal donation, to help us fund our Beneficiary Grant Programme in 2026. And on behalf of the entire TTG team, I wish you all a very happy and healthy year ahead”
Best wishes, Claire
