These Are A Few Of My Favourite Songs

To celebrate our 125th anniversary, we held two fundraising events in the Elgar Room at the Royal Albert Hall on 13th November (with special guest Don Black, featuring Marti Webb) and 4th December (with special guest Dame Judi Dench). Presented by Mark Shenton, these two 'in conversation' occasions gave our special guests the opportunity to discuss (and hear, thanks to our wonderful live performers) the music which has meant the most to them throughout their distinguished careers. Our sincerest thanks go to everyone who helped make these two afternoons such a success!

New Patron Announced

We are delighted to announce that Gemma Arterton has agreed to become our new a patron. She is well known for her stage and screen presence. Recent credits include the title role of Nell Gwynn at London’s Apollo Theatre, for which she gained a Best Actress nomination at this year’s Olivier Awards, and the hit West End version of the 2010 film Made In Dagenham at the Adelphi Theatre. Gemma’s film and television career is equally illustrious, with starring roles in Hollywood feature films including Clash of the Titans, Disney’s Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time and Quantum of Solace, and her heartrending portrayal of the heroic Tess in the BBC adaptation of Tess of the D’Urbervilles earned her rave reviews and numerous award nominations. She is extremely passionate about the work that we do and will be a fantastic addition to our team.

Celebrating our 125th Anniversary

This year marks our 125th anniversary, which we plan to celebrate with a series of memorable events at the Royal Albert Hall, the details of which can be found on our Fundraising page. To mark the occasion, we have also taken this opportunity to re-design our website, fliers and logo with the help of the fantastic Dewynters. You can read about how we have helped people over the years on our History page.
